I have been collecting cats for a couple years and am up to around 50-75. I'm curious how everyone sells their converters

How do I go about getting the quote. This is my first rodeo with converters. I have been gathering them but now need to unload them.
Go to the top of any page and find the button "Scrap Buyers and Sellers" . Look for the category you are interested in, in this case Catalytic converters and you will find APA's buyers thread.
This is why you may notice new members are advised to read the old threads, which includes the buyers and sellers threads.
I advise you when reading the buyers threads to see if they are active and have have recent feedback. Many of our buyers can assist in getting shipping worked out but we also have one who specializes in shipping.
Lastly each buyer has their preferred method of communication and normally it is in the first post of their buyers thread.

Call or text me with the number I provided. I think you can PM me if you have 10 posts or more also but my phone number is the best way.
Ok I will text you some in the next few days. Some are still on the vehicles.
question for APA, is there like some sort of picture chart or something that someone inexperienced in Cats like myself could look at and be able to determine what type of cat they have? I know theres a few different kinds and I can mostly tell which are aftermarket but as far as determining which specific type of cat I have I really have no clue. I know most of the buyers know which is which and they could look at one and tell me its this or that but unless I know myself what I'm holding I'm pretty much just putting all my faith into the buyer not ripping me off, and Im sure the majority of the people who don't deal much with cats feel the same way.

BUYING ALL COMPUTER SCRAP WORKING OR NOT

I will start start off with this. A major competitor of mine in Pennsylvania is a convicted felon. He has charges related to stolen property. Second, a list means nothing if you (seller) have no idea what converter goes into what catagory chosen by the buyer. "Codes" sometimes help the price, sometimes hurt the price. I bought some converters today by "code" they were worth $18, I was able to pay my customer $50 each. I work all the angles to give my customers the best possible price outcome.
How do I know Ewasted doesn't rip me off? I went there once and was happy, most people agree. We really don't concentrate on computer related items so we put our faith in them for example.
My only dealing with Apa was positive....all questions answered and payment was swift....honestly the only way i halfway knew what i had was thru extensive google searches....his price was higher than any advertised web site....
Remember also, it's not just folks selling cats that risk being burned.
A lot of us here do focus on ewaste. An it's quite valuable when you start dealing with certain items, so the risky is pretty high to get burned. I'm sure the majority of us have a horror story in regards to a buyer. An I KNOW the buyers got some good ones in regards to sellers. Whether it's shipping to a buyer here for processing an payment, or the folks here who use ebay an ship items to buyers from there...we're all at risk.
My point is...try not to worry about getting ripped off. LOL. Easier to say then do I know. You will experience much less stress once you find a good buyer who you want to deal with on a regular basis. With ewaste, I can rely on my fellow SMF members in regards to buyers. Folks like yourself who deal with things like cats(do you buy an sell dogs to? HA! Took me half the post to make a cat joke, your welcome dear reader.)or other such items got it a bit tougher in regards to reviews on buyers for your material. Find someone on here, an you likely can't go wrong. If there is a cat buyer here...I'm not really sure anymore.
You can also ship via pallet(I imagine you will, so ignore this if so) an can make use of folks like @Gorven who can help you get your pallets where they need to go. So at lest you can trust the transportation.
I wish I only shipped out cats. I still get nervous whenever I send something out to be toll refined. I get even worse when I'm waiting on that gold, silver, etc to come back to. Haha.
Good luck to you though, perhaps someone who deals in Cats will chime in. An be sure to look for reviews online for any seller you decide to use outside of the forum. It could save you a lot of trouble, time, an money.

I have dealt with APA on a few occasions selling CATS to him and found him to be very reputable. Also have did some freight shipments for him and never any problems regarding payment.
