5 ton 6x6 towing to yard

Greetings!
Some of you have surely seen my threads on the 5 ton 6x6 made into a fire truck I have and questions on scrapping the pumper bed to make it back into a cargo variant.

It's a nonrunner. We think it's totally repairable, but if it ended up being too far gone, the plan is to pull the winch and tow it to the scrap yard.



Anyway...any suggestions for dragging a 30 foot or so long truck to the scrap yard if need be? I'll be there, with the title, etc, heaven forbid it came to this. Of course I plan to save it, but I'm talking backup plan here.

Many would suggest I cut it up but in my situation if it goes, it goes whole. If a yard will take something that size- some won't.

Anyway...pointers for hauling this thing to the scale and over and cashing out on a big heavy old army truck? Others might have similar situations...

Save lots of hassle that way. You might be able to get a ride to and from also. It reminds me of an auction I was at. This guy bought an old bus for 350$ and minutes later he was on the phone with the yard...they picked it up and gave him 750$.

I think that's what I'll do. I've got it in my name but am having issues titling it so if I had to scrap it I'd need to be there anyway in theory...so a ride would be ideal. Any other pointers?

If you're having issues with the title, how can it be in your name? Am I missing something?

Anywho, you've been given advice by the very best here on this forum and you're still asking for pointers. Maybe you should go back and reread their posts.

My advice would be to make a decision. Are you going to keep the truck or are you going to get rid of it. Once you've decided that, you can finally move on to the next step.
