You new guys have got to put your query in the search box before asking some questions. Actually, there is no value in cats. Let me know where to come get the ones you have.

T15 is a Special Camry. Priced between a Small Import and a Medium Import. It looks like a Low Grade, but many good Toyota cats do. This one should bring you some decent jack- in the $95 to $105 range.

I really appreciate your input Sparrow and this forum. You more than likely made me an extra 45$ to 65$.

I contemplated weather not to call but glad I got some info and glad I called.

I just called the yard that I sold the cat. to. I had originally dealt with his wife, the owner was not around. Mom and Pop operation.
Luckily I spoke with her husband on the phone when I called( I was glad he answered) I told him who I was, and that I had a bad taste in my mouth since Monday when I sold the cat. and it was graded as low grade. He says the Toyota T-24 was the low grade one and they just look alike. T-15 is a good one. Also he said he was glad I called and that he would square up with me next time I come in.

Any time, Dave. Hopefully, it was an honest mistake. Good to hear that they made it right for you. The T24 is actually graded a Small Import, so it's very close to being worth as much as the T15. Your yard guy might want to get a Toyota grade list from another buyer or two, and see how it compares to the one he's working off of now.

Too many core buyers INTENTIONALLY misgrade Toyota cats. Most sellers don't know the numbers (and they shouldn't have to if their buyer is honest). Core buyers know this, and take advantage of it. One-price-fits-all "averages" simply don't work on Toyota converters. One bad guy in my area will buy Special Camry grade cats as a "Foreign Pre"

Glad I could help you. Any time you have a numbered cat, there are several of us on here who can help verify the grade for you. I try not to miss these kinds of posts, as I enjoy this kind of stuff.

Get you a price list off the internet or a couple to make sure of the prices, but at least most of them have pictures to go by. Let Google be your friend.
