1993 Mustang Scrap or Sale???

Ok, I have a 1993 mustang that is not running and has been sitting for about 7 years. It has flat tires, cracked windshield, cracked front bumper, tailight and headlight. In order to sell it I would have to buy tires in the least. But a lot of people always stop by and ask if its for sell. I tell them make me an offer and it is always $100-300. I always decline their offer. Probably can get $250 if I sell to a car scraper. So I was wondering if I should part it out and sell the remaining parts for scrap. The rims are original cobra aluminum alloys, those should sell easy, but as far as everything else I'm not sure if I can make up the difference than selling it whole for scrap. Please give me some tips and advice, thanks.

I think its the 11th or 12th commandment that says "thou shalt not scrap a Mustang" and a little farther down is the same for Camaros Fire birds etc. but then some are not real mustangs either, Mustang 11 etc.

factoid: did you know there was another "mustang" the proto type was called the poney, the rights to it were traded by Lee Iacoca to Mazda for the american right to the mazda pick up design which turnd out to be the courier, the for runner for the Ranger. the Poney became the Mazda rx

I had one of those Mustang II's when I was about 19...4 cyl auto 0-60 took f'n forever-good thing it was only $200.

I'd part it out, even if you sell why would you need tires? If you sell it as-is it's the buyers problem, not yours. Plus if the parts are decent, a CL ad should get you $500 out of it. What engine is in it?

Its a V-6, Hatchback, sunroof, complete car no missing parts. I would just buy a set of used tires so it can be at lease pulled.

Seriously, a Fox body isn't worth more than $300 where you're at? Around here that would be a drag car project pretty quick. Lots of demand for parts on ebay and CL. 5 lug conversion, wheels, trim, etc.

'74-'04 Mustangs are rather popular among compact class derby guys.

goto www.24hoursoflemons.com and post it for sale in the forum for $500, those guys will grab it up quick!

Fox Bodys are making a come back. Put some fix-a-flat in the tires, roll it out to the edge of the driveway with a 4 sale sign on it. It's tax time, put $800 on it and watch it go! If I was closer it'd be sold aleady! I have a 2002 and a 1985 convert....I want one from every decade and generation!
