Earlier on I mentioned these large ammonia tanks that no longer meet the pressure requirments, decided to bring one home to make a vault for my veggie oil. With a 1/2" shell 3/8" caps i should keep the bears outa my grease.

With 1/2" shell 3/8" end caps this tank is heavy, my guestimate is they weigh 6500 maybe 7,000 lbs.

That will hold a lot of oil! Hope you get some pictures of the bears trying to get into that.

Thanks to the Internet I saved $2000.00 on that HP Z3200PS printer which has arrived in Winnipeg for pick up Monday , went into town for a sack pf beer noticed the coffee shop was still open and wandered over for a brew. Got my first print job, a place to sell my prints from plus a scrap truck.. Not a bad way to finnish up the day.

Anyone with a 12 page thread named specifically after them really says a lot. I'm just a FNG but would like to say welcome back and can't wait to read more of your posts. Its quite obvious many look up to you. I mean who wouldn't look up to a guy who uses old ammonia tanks to store old cooking grease. You must fry alot of Turkey on Thanksgiving.

Anyone else realize Gus has been MIA for a bit. I think the bears might have gotten mad at him.

I did notice that. I have been reading this post off and on for the last few days ( since I am still exploring the site.). Gus you are a great man from what I have read. Also he might be gone because he said his internet was going out at the end of July. Maybe the stupid internet company decided to cut it off early. I hope he is ok.

Right you are Barren, I'm busy taking pictures for a post card series which I'm putting together for next year.

Also been busy cementing out my platinum group metals from my leach, now that most of the black powder is out I've been washing out the excess zinc. I'm planing to have a few ounces made into potassium choroplatinite for which I have hired a chemist. The potassium chloroplatinite is for making contact platinum prints.

Purchased a pair of HP Workstations, which will each get 32 gigs of ECC Ram, Ultra SCUSI hard drives then to finish them off a mediocre 1 gig video card.

Now that we have the boring stuff out of the way, here's a shot of the bear.

Nice shot Gus! The mating season is winding down (end of August). Were there any others sniffing around?
