Vintage computers: What do you think of these?

Hi, recently I have received 2 vintage computers:

    1. IBM 5170 (computer, monitor, and keyboard), my client said it is in working conditions. Looks like goes for about 2-3 hundred for just the computer on ebay
    2. Xerox 820 (8" disc). Cant really find a price on this.

This is my first time dealing with vintage computers and I was wondering if anyone had any advice where to sell, pricing etc.

    thanks!

I don't know anything about them except they are really cool. Here is where I go to find out about this type of stuff.

Before you (or anyone) else goes there you better list your location and any model numbers (monitor, keyboard, PC) and any DECENT pictures of the insides since that is what everyone will be asking for anyway. All kinds of people show up there with items that don't even match and expect answers without taking the time to even do a simple inventory of model numbers or provide pictures or your location (if you are close somebody will be more interesting in making an offer). They get flooded with people who show up and ask a million questions that take time to look up only to have the guy then flip it on ebay without even a thank you.

Those are cool. The IBM looks like the one of the first computers I used. I used to know how to program on them but it's been so long ago I don't remember any of it.

I recently stumbled upon a gaming platform that's really popular among Canadian players. What caught my attention was the range of games, including Caribbean stud and baccarat, and the welcome package offered. The site's security, particularly the KYC policy, is impressive. For those in Canada seeking a secure gaming environment, Lucky Days is a great option. The customer support team is commendable, always ready to assist with any queries.

Back in 2012 those computers were considered junk by most.

But a few such as myself hauled them home and let them sit.

The prices people are willing to pay these days for "vintage" computers is up there.

Same with old video games, systems and handhelds.

I have video games that I paid a dollar give or take 15 to 20 years ago that are now worth hundreds.

    Why don't I sell them?

I don't feel like putting the time and energy into selling.

I mostly trade some of what I have for items or services that interest me or that I require.

So far I'm 100% debt free.

It just seems like scrappers can be kind of superstitious sometimes. When it comes right down to it .... a thing is only worth what someone will pay for it. It's not worth anything till it's been put up for sale. That's where the rubber meets the road. The proof is in the putting.

I've got a lump of coal in my hand. It's the one i got for Christmas. Got it safely squirreled away cause i know it could be a great big beautiful diamond someday.

All i need to do is wait 3 billion years and under the right conditions of temperature & pressure .... it will be.
