And we have a....... Nice job Red!!!! I know the urge to rip that puppy apart is strong but take some time and do some thorough searching to see if there is someone that wants it. That is a beauty you have there. Looks pretty clean for being stored away for so long. One of the best finds yet I have seen here posted.

Good lord, those will be some killer boards, probably nothing but IC's, Tantalum capacitors and thick gold fingers. Which leads us to some really killer backplanes and then to the pinboards. Geez, I think I got a buzz from just looking at those photos. Can you post scratch and sniff?

I'm trying my best to sell it all whole. It is worth several thousand to the right collector. I would truly hate to scrap these pieces of history, but alas if I must I will...
Talk about patience, how would you like to be the one that wired all those wires in that thing. Hey Red, if you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay for that? I bet it was more than 5.00. LOL
It was a peripheral to the old IBM S/360 Mainframes. We had one here at my workplace 30 yrs ago. Now running a Z/9 Mainframe. But if I didn't see the IBM logo on it I would say it's a Roomba.
Just out of curiosity. Is there anyone in the South Texas area interested in purchasing these Control Data 852 Disk Storage Drives(blue topped thing), or a Control Data Peripheral Controller (large cabinet)? Please PM me. I just really hate to scrap these guys. I have a local low ball offer but I really think these are worth a lot more. Just thought I would ask. Please PM me if you're interested or know someone who might be. Thanks!
