    Vintage Software and manuals

I've been doing a lot more work locally instead of online to build my business. One of my recent pickups was a boxes and boxes of what appeared to be an old Radio Shack. Included in the haul was TONS of old software, most of which is still in the original boxes and packaging. Some of it is so old that it's floppy discs, not cd's.

Is there any money in this stuff? I hauled a load to the curb last night, but then thought about it and wanted to post here and get your thoughts. Seems like a great lot for someone to go through on eBay and make a couple bucks, but we really don't mess with computer stuff on there.

Probably not, but it would be a good idea to go through them and just look them up on ebay because you never know. Not long ago I came across a locker that belonged to a networking company from the 90's. I found a bunch of old software still sealed that back in the day would have been worth hundreds for just one program, and I ended up just throwing most of it away. I tried to sell some and I think I only sold one program and it was for about $10 including shipping, not worth the time.

However, if any of that old software are PC games, then you have a much better chance of finding something valuable.

Some of that old software might have some value! It depends on what software titles you have. Can you tell me what they are?

Most are probably worthless, but there could be exceptions. I did sell some old apple software on ebay last year. One of them from the early 80's sold for about $60.

I'll take some pictures next time I get to the warehouse. A large portion went in the garbage already, but there is still some left. Best that I can tell, this stuff came from a Radio Shack shutdown/closing. I was at an auction and bid on the lot just for the Gaylord Box, didn't really care what was in it and never looked that close. I was pretty surprised to find computer stuff in it, let alone the IC's, wire, etc that was in there.
