Macs NECs and Tandy's and more!!!!!!!!!!

So I was busting my rear working on my first big farm clean up and nothing was going right. The whole family and I spent 7am-7pm for two days in a row loading containers with shred. It had rained 4 inches a few days prior and I couldn't get to any of the big ticket items like the combines, cars and grain trucks. It was super hot and humid and we were super burned out and I was mad because I took time off from my day job to do this clean up and I wasn't exactly getting oprah rich. We get home and I get a call to pick up some computers. My son and I drag our soggy selves back into town and BAM!!!!! super score.

The local newspaper had moved and the old building was going to be tore down. They needed all the "old" electronics gone. The end result was 25 complete pc desktops 5 scanners 10 printers/copiers 5 electric typewriters 6 boxes of software games and cables and twenty years of electronic odds and ends.

Here are the Highlights of the score that should have better than scrap value and someone may think is cool. (my next post to keep it organized will contain the pictures)

    2 Adding Machines
    1 Tandy Portable word processor
    1 NEC PC 8500 and 1 PC 820IA

!!!WARNING!!! MAC information to follow, apple haters look away.

    2 MAC Classics M0420 Complete
    1 MAC Classic M4150 Complete
    1 Power MAC 6400/200 M3548 Complete
    1 Power MAC 7100/80 M2391 Complete
    1 MAC Performa 6214 CD M3076 Complete
    1 MAC IIci M5780 Complete
    1 MAC LC M0350 Complete
    1 MAC LC2 M1700 Complete

And the coolest in my opinion
2 NEC Advanced Personal computers model number H02. Both were made in October 1982 and are complete as far as I can tell.

None of the computers have been tested as of yet, I have been busy breaking down the pcs and Its hay cutting season and I have to be getting while the gettings good. Pics to follow.

All of the computers I listed above are complete with monitors, keyboards and mice. I also have boxes of mac stuff to go through. Once they are tested I may just hold on to them and sell them through my own website when I launch that part. I will probably sell the majority of the extra cords and cables on ebay. If anyone has a need or can shed any light on these feel free. I have done some research and the macs should do fine as more than scrap even as non working.

    Woooooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!

Those are all gorgeous. What I can't figure out is why they're all so clean. I NEVER find computers that clean.

OK, you are seriously about to get PM'ed, Beardo!

They are all clean because they had those plastic computer covers still on them. I remember leaving the computer lab after typing class in elementary school and getting in trouble because I didn't put the plastic cover back on mine.

You know, that's true. The best-preserved old computer I've ever found was sitting under one of those plastic covers. And let me tell you, the cover looked like total crap -- it had turned yellow and started peeling. That's what the computer would've looked like if that cover hadn't been there.

I think I'm going to go drape my living room in Hefty bags. It'll keep the furniture nice.
