    Gold IC chips

So I was helping my buddy scrap a bunch of stuff from his grandparents garage, he was going to take it all to shred because he's not really a scrapper, but he knew I was and came by and said I could look at it and take what I wanted. I told him he could get a lot more for it if he sorted it out, do it took us like 2 and I got it sorted out with it much work. We took it in and he doubled his money, and then gave me $20. Any ways, there were some circuit boards in there and he said I could have them and some had what looks like gold IC chips and other parts. My question is should I pull them off and sell them or sell the whole board.
