I'm sure some have seen this in the news today. My first throught when I saw the board was - knock off a few of the heavy components, and that would make a decent telecom board.
I doubt any of us will ever get one of these, but wow on the price. I think these were all hand made by Steve Wozniak.

It makes me wonder…how much of this stuff has gone into the scrap piles or landfills when folks have been none the wiser? I know of a few stories of antiques being “rescued” before they went in the dumpster. I shudder to think at how much stuff has slipped through the cracks

Well it was a museum (Henry Ford) that purchased it. Now that I think about it, that's only 2 1/2 hours away from me. We might have to take a family trip up there next year and hope that it is on display.
It sort of reminds me of an exhibit at the Children's Museum in Houston. They have a massive robot built out of different kinds of old phones and telecom boards. Lots of basic phones, but also several of the cell phone bricks, and some telecom boards to drool over. I looked at it a lot differently this year than in the past.
