That looks similar to the Powerbook 520 - thanks for sharing as I've never seen one before.

We purchase laptop computers and many components for greater than scrap value. We offer a shipping reimbursement program.replies

Matador: So much so- because if you Do a Completed Listing for a Commadore Laptop- There isn't a 1 on there!
RecycleInformatique: You may have just found a small goldmine!

they made several actually from my quick research...the 1st was like 15-20 POUNDS. This is a later model...and I almost think it is after they went under (someone bought the name and other rights and started releasing things with the brand name on it). Probably worth more than scrap for a collector....even as parts.

Here are a few of them (granted there are some other even older ones that are kinda like a small desktop with a keyboard (SX designation I believe).

Commodore PC Laptop Computers : I'm not sure why either of us bothered

EDIT Here is the SX model...

PROFIT is made when you BUY/ACQUIRE NOT when you sell

Reminds me of my first Toshiba "laptop" darn thing still had to be plugged into the wall with an A/C cord. Was a 286 I think... had to buy the battery backup block from some company out west. Think my aunt still has it... either that or it "disappeared" from moving around a bunch.

First time I can remember seeing one.

The SX-64 it says cost $995.00, I remember saving money to buy a Commodore 64 way back when, then saving up more money to buy the crappy floppy drive to go with it that needed adjustment every 2 months or so when I "upgraded" from the even crappier tape drive.

...every time my son complains when he sets the graphics up too high and his game lags...I tell him about the good old days of typing in code for 2 hours just so that you could play a game of tic-tac-toe.

Wonder how much one of those beasts cost new?

    Cool Find!!!
