TEAC PD-11 Compact cd player help

I was given quite a few different Sun System servers in a couple of old computers and I was also given this beauty right here along with its original box and I've done research on the internet and cannot find one single one for sale or sold or anything about it I find ads but nothing for it this is an original first generation CD player anybody that can help me with this please

Not sure why they turn sideways for me, I take them up and down and with the phone turned but they always come out that way. It works perfectly and is in mint condition, the guy who gave it to me is an IT specialist with too much money and time on his hands since retirement.

I sold one of these Marantz CD players for NZ$70 to a 2nd hand HiFi shop.


But anything Marantz that's Gold coloured is collectable

I have not sold a cd player in ages I got a dozen or so of different ones I keep around just in case but no real luck selling them very often now vhs players indeed sell hifi even better

I will have to post a pic of my VHS player that was my grandmother's, not in great condition but over 30 years old

I have searched for forums boards all kinds of stuff and I have had no luck but I am not giving up because I know there's something out there is someone out there. I have searched the locally I searched Google it's tough but you know considering it's a CD player and not a vintage radio or a silly MP3 player the market is there but there's people out there. It does work there are no scratches no marks on it it is brand new condition very mint and I have the original box and even have the Styrofoam in the plastic bag that it comes in.

I found all those threads and forums just a little tough to dig

Thanks for all the support guys I just have kindergarten graduation for my oldest over the last week and my 1 year old is sick my wife is ready to pop in at the hospital this week for that love life but it's busy as heck

Well, perhaps another will take the time to do the research for you on those forums.

Sirscrapalot - Horse, water, etc.

I don't want anyone to do the research for me, like I said before I've already looked into these ones really not too much time to do the digging is all I'm saying. I guess from your quotes and previous post supposedly I'm the Horse and you're the leader... that water looks a little funny colored to me so I'll keep searching for water that is a little bit clearer.

A friend bought a Phillips CD payer when they first came out.
It cost him NZ$1400.....
The other one was $1600 . Considering this was in 1984 or whenever they were first sold, and he probably earnt $200 a week...

I look back and wonder how we could afford it. A couple of years later I was earning $150 a week, paid $300 for a tapedeck.
My HIFI video cost me $1200 and a Pioneer 6disc CD player cost me $500 when I was earning $200+ /week.
I have 3 of those 6disc players that I found in rubbish scrap, now.

My best ever find was a Sansui AU-777 amp.

A truly legendary amp and my best ever find, still in the box.

You can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink... I would smash that cd player on the ground, pull the circuit board and move on. There are bigger fish to fry..
